DAHLIA

Dahlias come in many hues and shapes. They are gorgeous as cut flowers and beautiful in the landscape, while also a wonderful flower for dyeing and making dyes or pigments. The darker hued flowers seem to work best in my experience. Steep these flowers in hot water (do not overheat!) for about 15 minutes. Adding different modifiers will change the tones.
