CORN HUSK FIBER

Corn, or Maize, is a grass plant domesticated thousands of years ago in Mexico from wild teosinte and is now a staple grain crop in the Americas. I have been exploring corn as a subject and a material (more to come), experimenting with the fibers to create cordage and weavings.
